Your parents have just told you that your family is moving to Paris, France for one year. While you are there, you will be attending a French school so that you don’t get behind when you move back toLawrenceville next year. You are very nervous since you don’t know what to expect!
Directions:
You will review different websites that discuss the French education system. Using the links below, explore the websites and find the answers to the questions.
Answer each question on a Google doc and share to your French folder. Be sure to copy and paste the question into your document. The response to each question is worth two points. There is also a mandatory writing assignment at the bottom of the page.
1. In the United States, you are in 8th grade. When you attend school in Paris, the French do not call it 8th grade. What do they call the equivalent to 8th grade in France? Use the sites below to find the answer.

Once you have completed the webquest, you are to choose ONE of the following options to complete for your writing assignment:
1. In English, write a letter to your parents explaining why you think it is either a good idea or a bad idea to attend a French school while you are in Paris. Provide at least three specific examples to support your position.
2. In English, compare and contrast the French school system and the American school system. Explain how the school systems are alike and how they are different. Provide at least three specific examples.
3. In English, explain the challenges you would face as an American in a French school. What would be hard to adapt to? What do you think would be easy to adapt to? Provide at least three specific examples to support your ideas.
